Effluent Reuse Studies

RTW has examined the economic and technical feasibility of implementing wastewater effluent reuse projects for several municipal clients. This has included evaluating effluent availability; additional treatment required; conveyance, pumping, and storage requirements; as well as O & M costs, identifying potential irrigation sites and estimated water quantities at each site. RTW's personnel have also evaluated effluent reuse facilities in terms of compliance with reuse regulations.

Our experience also entails hydraulic modeling and preliminary pipe sizing based on flow scenarios and selection of reuse sites, upgrading AutoCAD^® drawings with pipe layers into GIS, and reuse rate analysis, if multiple entities will use the reuse water. RTW has assisted with the public participation process to facilitate public acceptance of effluent reuse programs as well.
