Gore Valley Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation

This 1-mgd plant was taken out of service some time ago when water treatment was regionalized. The District hired Tetra Tech RTW to evaluate the plant for possible short-term supply since the regional plant was approaching capacity. Tetra Tech RTW conducted the study and, as a result, concluded that reactivation was possible with some rehabilitation work on the plant and the associated pump station.

Tetra Tech RTW then completed construction documents for improvements to the following facilities:

raw water infiltration gallery

backwash and high-service pumps

chemical feed system

filters

equipment painting

building painting

Tetra Tech RTW helped the District retain a contractor and performed construction management services. The plant was on-line and operating at full capacity after the rehabilitation work was completed.
